Author Guidelines

A scientific article considered for publication on the topic must be at least 5 A4 pages (210×297) long, excluding tables and figures (14,000 characters, including spaces between words, punctuation, numbers, and other characters).

The text and tables must be typed in Microsoft Word with the .doc extension, using Times New Roman font, size 14, single line spacing, paragraph spacing of 1.25 cm, no hyphenation, and margins: left – 3 cm, right – 2 cm, top – 2 cm, bottom – 2 cm. Figures are accepted in .jpg format.

Tables should be placed directly in the text after the citation, with a title that extends the width of the text, excluding the paragraph. Tables should be numbered using Arabic numerals (Table 1 – Research Results…). References in the text (Table 1), etc. A footnote to a table should be placed immediately below the table, starting with a 1.25 cm indent.

Figures should be placed directly in the text after the citation, with the title centered below the figure. Figures should be numbered in Arabic numerals (Figure 1 – Research Results…). References should be in the text (Figure 1), etc.

Articles are submitted: by mail in printed form, signed by the authors, with an expert opinion on the possibility of publication attached; by email to mnti@belbulba.by. Articles are submitted in Russian or English.

Research articles published in the collection "Potato and Vegetable Growing" must include the following elements in accordance with the editorial requirements:

UDC index; article title in capital letters (bold, in Russian); last name and initials of the author(s) of the article (bold, in Russian); name of the institution, personal email; Abstract (italics, in Russian, up to 10 lines, should clearly outline the content of the article); Keyword (in Russian);

Introduction (a brief review of the literature on the topic, identifying previously unresolved issues, formulating and justifying the purpose of the work, and indicating its connection to important scientific and practical areas); Materials and Methodology; Results of the study; Conclusion (clearly stated conclusions, the main results obtained, indicating their novelty, advantages, and potential applications);

Literature (formatted in accordance with the Higher Attestation Commission (VAK) rules www.vak.org.by – Regulatory Documents – Instructions for the Formatting of Dissertations, Abstracts, and Publications on the Subject of the Dissertation – Appendix 2). References to other authors' works are numbered according to the citation order in the text. The reference numbers should be written within square brackets (e.g., [1], [2]); the title of the article, the last name and initials of the author(s) of the article, the abstract, and keywords (in English).

The authors are responsible for the content of the publication. The editorial board reserves the right to reject materials that do not meet the topic and the above requirements.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:
